Pulse on the real estate market in Nevada County

When an agent has many listings it is much easier to evaluate the market trends and activity than if that agent only has a handful of listings. Having many listings attracts many buyers. When selling real estate it is important to have a "store" with a lot of inventory. So, what is selling in Grass Valley, Nevada City and the county in general? Primarily, it is distressed properties which compose 45% of the market. Distressed properties include short sales and bank-owned properties known as REO's. Of course, when it is time in one's life to make a change, whether it is due to the children are grown and gone and the home becomes too large, or one is retiring or getting married or getting divorced, the birth of a baby or death of a spouse, they make a decision to buy or sell. So no matter what the market conditions, people move from one place to another. With interest rates on loans at an all time low and pricing to match, there has never been a better time to buy real estate. You will most likely get less for the home you sell but you will make it up on the purchase. Don't wait to get your feet wet. Jump in while the timing is right to find your new home at the right price and while incredible financing is still available.
